Well, obviously the big talk around town here in the Carolinas is, The Panthers are headed to The Super Bowl!!!! They “Kept Pounding”, with only one loss in the entire season!!
This is so exciting, because when you take a look back, you realize that The Panthers have been playing for 20 years and have had some ups and downs, gone through several coaches, lost great players, been to The Super Bowl before, only to be defeated (even though it’s call the greatest Super Bowl ever…)…
But this team has the right never quit attitude…Keep Pounding!!!!
It can be hard to get back up after you’ve been knocked down…
But we see this same spirit in some of the greatest people who have ever lived…
• Henry Ford went broke five times before he succeeded with Ford Motor Company
• Thomas Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb, before finding success
• It took the Wright Brothers several years and tons of failed prototypes before their first flight
• Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team
• Elvis Presley was told he would never make it in the music industry and should go back to driving a truck
But just like The Panthers, they refused to quit, they “Kept Pounding”!!!

You know I believe the greatest example of our faith doesn’t come with a quick victory….
Don’t get me wrong… I know God can and will bring quick victory sometimes…
• But the truth is, sometimes it takes a while…
If you haven’t seen the answer to your prayer or received a promise from God:
• “Keep Pounding”
Remember Elijah in 1 Kings 18…
His servant kept coming back and saying nothing is there…
Elijah didn’t give up, he kept pounding!!
• Then there was a cloud on the horizon…
